How to Play Anidle
Anidle is an interactive daily trivia game designed to test your knowledge of Japanese animation history. Each day at midnight local time, our engine selects a single secret anime from a curated master catalog spanning the 1980s through modern releases. You have six attempts to guess the mystery title using comparative deduction across three key attributes: release year, MyAnimeList (MAL) popularity rank, and genre classifications.

Understanding the Clues
- Release Year: An upward arrow (↑) indicates the target anime aired later than your guess. A downward arrow (↓) indicates the target anime aired earlier.
- MyAnimeList Rank: Rankings reflect global score standing. An upward arrow (↑) means the target title has a numerically higher rating/rank (e.g., #2 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is ranked higher than #50 GTO). A downward arrow (↓) means the target title has a lower rank.
- Genres: Yellow indicates that your guess shares at least one canonical genre with the mystery anime. Green indicates a full genre intersection.
Strategic Deductive Tips
To consistently solve the daily puzzle within six tries, consider starting with a "mid-distribution" title released between 2010 and 2015 with a rank around #200–#400. Shows like Psycho-Pass, Magi, or Noragami span diverse genres and immediately halve both the chronological and ranking search space.
Pay close attention to genre mismatches. If your first guess turns up grey on action or comedy, shift your second guess toward slice-of-life, romance, psychological, or sports titles to quickly isolate the target demographic.
